Language Disorders

Language disorders affect the child’s ability to understand and/or express language.

Receptive Language Disorder:
Child had difficulty understanding basic concepts, sentences, and directions or has difficulty following conversation.

Expressive Language Disorder:
Child has difficulty putting his thoughts into words, producing complete sentences, using correct word order, using word endings (plurals, past tense, etc.) or is unable to exchange information through conversational skills.
