Pragmatic Disorder

Child has difficulty understanding and using the rules of conversation. The child typically may not use turn taking, follow shifts in topic, pick up on non-verbal cues such as body language or understand what the listener knows and doesn’t know.

Like speech, language develops in stages. The most rapid development generally occurs between the ages of 3 and 4. If you have any concerns regarding your child’s comprehension or use of language, please consult with an audiologist.
